Can I have a custom light designed just for me?

Absolutely! While we can recreate or modify any light in our gallery, adjust sizes, colors, wood or finish options, we also love developing new designs. We’ll develop lighting specifically for your space, and even craft “one-of-a-kind” lights just for you. We thrive on bringing original ideas to life through working with you and your interior designer or architect. And, everything is handcrafted in our Portland, Maine, studio.

How long does it take?

Standard semi-custom pieces shown in our gallery generally take 3-4 weeks from order to delivery. Fully custom (new design) pieces can take 6-8 weeks due to design rounds between you and us. If you see the notice “In Stock Now,” that means we have a quantity of the piece in inventory and can ship within 2 business days.

How do I order?

For custom or semi-custom pieces, please fill out our order form, or give us a call at 207-776-0589. We’ll discuss your ideas and preferences and fine-tune your new lighting to suit your individual style. For a piece labeled “In Stock Now,” click on the link shown and order through our Paypal system.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards through our PayPal account.

What are your payment terms?

For in-stock items, we collect full payment at time of sale. For custom pieces, there is no charge for initial consultation. We collect 50% when it is time to start production work and the full balance prior to shipping.

What is your return policy?

Please understand that custom and semi-custom pieces are not returnable. Damaged or defective merchandise must be returned for replacement within 7 days of purchase. All damages incurred in shipping must be reported upon receipt of merchandise. All other authorized returns or exchanges for “In Stock Now” items must be made within 7 days and will be charged a 50% restocking fee. Any costs incurred will be the responsibility of the customer. Inspired Wire Studio cannot be held responsible for incidental damage caused by product misuse.

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs vary by size and weight. We’ll be happy to quote shipping on any item.

What happens to my delivery if I’m not at home?

We ship most packages FedEx ground, and by default, we require a signature for delivery. If you are not home during the day, we can ship to your work, or to a FedEx Office location for pickup. If you are absolutely certain that packages left at your home are safe, we can ship with no signature required at your request.
